Description

The 6.5 Creedmoor was developed by Hornady in 2010 to provide factory ammo that competition shooters could use out to 1,000 yards with predictable ballistics.  The inherent accuracy of the cartridge made it an instant success and it quickly replaced the .308 Win as the preferred cartridge for long range competition.  Soon after that the cartridge became popular with hunters for mid-sized game at 300+ yards.

RELOADING HINTS:  Similar to the .300 BLK, many cases used for reloading after the cartridge’s release were made by re-necking .243 cartridges.  Fortunately, the cartridge’s popularity soon provided a ready supply of once fired factory brass.

At Viking Brass we try to cull any of the .243 conversions we find but some may get by.
